The Interior Design Project Manager will oversee the firm's projects from conception to completion. They will collaborate with clients and design team members, set budgets, coordinate contractors, and ensure the project aligns with the client’s vision and requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to leverage their expertise on luxurious residential projects and some commercial or small-scale multifamily projects.
Key Role Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Lead and oversee multiple interior design projects simultaneously.
- Develop and manage project timelines, update and maintain daily, weekly and monthly tasks, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate and collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Address client concerns and provide solutions in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Provide guidance and feedback to team members to ensure high-quality design output.
- Source and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
- Oversee procurement and manage project resources efficiently.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years prior experience in the interior design field with strong project management skills is required
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple interior design projects.
- Experience with Google platforms (drive, docs, etc.) and experience with Mydoma studio is a plus; familiarity with other project management software is beneficial
- In-depth knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and construction techniques is necessary to guide the project and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills are vital for interacting with clients, design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- A creative mindset is important for generating innovative ideas and solutions that meet the client's needs and preferences.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure that every aspect of the design aligns with the client's vision and the project specifications.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously is crucial for keeping the project on track and ensuring timely completion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent in making quick decisions to overcome obstacles.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients is essential. This includes understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
