This is an exciting opportunity for an Interior Designer to work closely with an inclusive and welcoming design team in Marco Island, FL. Our client has been designing and building great spaces for over 22 years. Their closely knit team is a collaborative group, drawing on each other’s strengths to design beautiful custom homes. We are seeking an experienced, highly-skilled Interior Designer with the ability to lead all phases of residential design projects. In this role, you will be an integral part of a small but dynamic team and be exposed to every aspect of the design process. You will collaborate with the Principal Designer from concept to completion. In this crucial position, you will support the design team to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and above expectations. The ideal candidate for this role has the ability to assist with the design, organization, and project manage all phases of design.Â

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point person for clients

Select all interior/exterior selections for each new build

May design/procure interior furnishings as the company offers turn-key solutions to clients
-
Manage various aspects of working with trades, requesting bids, overseeing on-site construction & design elements, and updating Builder Trend daily with completed tasks

Drive project progress through timeline management

Support projects from the schematic design phase to the completion of construction through installation.

Carry out design and architectural detailing tasks when necessary, including elevations, space layouts, building sections, special details, etc.

Make decisions and negotiate project-related issues in collaboration with the Principal Designers

Create and support the project team with documents coordination including design drawings construction documentation and specifications

Perform construction admin duties - RFI’s, RFPs, change orders, on-site observation, etc.

Provide feedback and coach teams to ensure successful project completion

Coordinate project installations
-
Ensure projects are on budget and on time
Qualifications
-
College degree in interior design or related field
-
2-5+Â years of relevant interior design experience
-
ASID a plus
-
Experience with Builder Trend preferred, or ability to learn it quickly
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
-
Experience with design and office management software
-
An eye for design, brand recognition
-
Experience in all project phasesÂ
-
Thrives in a creative, friendly, and collaborative environment

Highly motivated, organized, people-oriented, detail-oriented, enthusiastic

Resourceful in problem-solving and finding solutions
