The Senior Interior Designer/Architect reports to the Director of Design and is technically proficient and creatively driven with a minimum of 8 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design software and technology, as well as a comprehensive understanding of interior architecture principles. This role requires a unique blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and technical expertise to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences. - Utilize design software and technology to develop aesthetic and functional hospitality spaces.
- Establish and maintain department documentation guidelines and standards.
- Provide strategic direction to fellow designers and oversee the production of documents and deliverables.
- Implement design documents in accordance with department and the company's construction standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in interior details and construction methods, adhering to building codes and ADA regulations.
- Generate design presentations, 3D renderings, and interior design documentation.
- Support all phases of projects from schematic design to construction administration.
- Manage consultant teams and resolve complex technical and design issues.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and purchasing department to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in interior design or architecture, with a focus on project implementation.
- NCIDQ certification or Registered Architect (NCARB)
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and ADA regulations.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus, but not required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of procedures of how to assemble design packages/drawing sets and construction documents in the correct professional order
- Creative and analytical mindset with a passion for delivering innovative design solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently while providing guidance to team members.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
