As a Territory Representative, you will be responsible for developing new clients and transforming them into long-lasting customers. Your expertise in sales and your ability to build a strong network will be crucial in driving business growth. Collaborating with the Wholesale Leadership team, you will strategize and execute plans to increase sales, ensuring our brand remains at the forefront of the luxury market. Essential Job Duties
- Prospect & Network: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and referrals within your territory.
- Lead Development: Generate and follow up on sales leads, identifying key decision-makers to initiate the sales process.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work with Wholesale Leadership to craft strategic approaches for sales growth.
- Deal Negotiation: Negotiate sales deals with a target closing rate of 70% or higher.
- Market Reporting: Attend sales meetings to discuss targets, forecasts, and market conditions in your territory.
- Order Management: Handle cancellations or changes in sales orders, ensuring all relevant departments are informed.
- Customer Coordination: Work with customer service to track order statuses and ensure timely delivery to clients.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of sales calls, contacts, and meetings, reporting regularly to the VP of Sales.
- Industry Engagement: Attend industry conferences to build expertise, network, and stay current with industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Experience: 3-4 years of proven sales experience in high-end furniture, home furnishings, or luxury goods.
- Previous experience working with wholesale - architecture and interior design trade highly sought after.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and a drive for results.
- Self-directed and highly motivated with exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to set and manage priorities with expertise in cold-calling sales techniques.
- Demonstrated success in sales with a high conversion rate.
