This is an exciting chance to live in the growing city of Las Vegas while also traveling internationally for major projects.
We seek for our 5-star hospitality client an Architectural Designer. The Architectural Designer is responsible for planning and designing structures and facilities based on program criteria and requirements, including but not limited to, physical limitations, brand standards, and safety and government regulations. This candidate should have an interest in international projects, 4- and 5-star resort hospitality, and residential design.Â
In this role, you will…

Plan and design buildings, such as hospitality/hotel resorts, casinos, residential towers, theaters, office buildings, and other complex buildings.

Consult with architectural supervisor and client to determine functional and spatial requirements of the structure.

Prepare presentation documents for the client review.

Prepare information regarding design, construction specifications, materials, color, and equipment and assist with preparation of estimated costs, and construction time.

Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to ensure accuracy of design work throughout all project phases.

Review and revise designs as required.Â

Integrate engineering elements into a unified design.

Prepare scale drawings utilizing 2D sketching and AutoCAD.

Prepare contract documents for construction contractors.

Review Shop Drawings, Submittals, operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports.

Direct activities of colleagues engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.

Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans and specifications.

Ensure design specifications adhere to safety standards and governmental regulations (i.e. ADA, OSHA, BECP)
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Architecture or a minimum of (8) eight years of architectural experience of which (1) one year is involved with developing and coordinating major construction projects.Â

A portfolio of work demonstrating abilities

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2018 or newer, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, Hand Sketches, Master-Planning, Microsoft Office

Intermediate proficiency in Procore/BIM360/PlanGrid/Other, REVIT 2018 or Newer

Eligibility of being licensed by the Nevada State Board of Architecture and Interior Design to practice architecture in the State of Nevada (within 6 months of being hired).Â

Proven experience with developing and writing specifications, and working knowledge of building codes and ordinances.

Interest in international projects, four and/or five-star resort hospitality, and resort design

Self-motivated, self-directed, and possess strong leadership qualities with the ability to approach all tasks with proactive thinking and a comprehensive plan of action

Professional demeanor and composure when dealing with critical deadlines and urgent requests.

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and utilize exceptional organizational skills while maintaining flexibility as priorities and assignments change

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality; handling sensitive information concerning both the Company and its projects

Excellent personal presentation and possess the necessary skills and attributes to represent the Company well
