We are hiring for our client, a highly regarded, design-driven interior design studio based in Chelsea, seeking a Business & Operations Manager to serve as the operational backbone of their growing team.
This is a pivotal, in-person role for someone who thrives on bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to a fast-paced creative environment. You’ll work closely with leadership and the broader team to ensure the studio runs seamlessly, balancing high-level operational oversight with hands-on execution.
The Opportunity:Â This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in being the person who makes everything work. From managing day-to-day studio operations to overseeing financial workflows and refining internal processes, you will play a critical role in supporting both the business and creative sides of the firm.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, ensuring a well-organized, efficient, and welcoming office environment
- Manage project financials using Design Manager, including invoicing, purchasing workflows, and basic bookkeeping
- Support leadership with scheduling, business development tracking, and high-level administrative coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, IT support, building management, and procurement logistics
- Identify, implement, and continuously refine internal processes to improve team efficiency and workflow clarity
- Act as a central hub of communication, ensuring alignment across projects, priorities, and deadlines
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in operations, office management, or business administration—ideally within an interior design or architecture studio
- Hands-on experience with Design Manager software is required
- Highly dependable with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to seamlessly shift between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate needs
- Strong interpersonal skills; approachable, communicative, and collaborative
