Business Development & Marketing Director | Hospitality Design Industry

As the Business Development & Marketing Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand identity and expanding our presence within the design industry. You will be the leader and face to grow our hospitality business. In this role you will lead a talented marketing team with the CMO and work closely with our design professionals to develop and implement business development, including marketing strategies, that elevate our brand and drive business growth. Develop current and create new relationships with your expertise in the hospitality design industry.
Business Development: Create business development strategy. Plan and attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our brand and network with potential clients, partners, and collaborators.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development and marketing strategies aligned with the company's objectives, with a focus on increasing brand visibility, market share, and revenue in the hospitality, multifamily, senior living and student sectors.
Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of marketing professionals, including in-house and consultant teams of business development professionals, graphic designers, content creators, and digital marketing specialists, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
Market Research: Stay current with industry trends, competition, and market changes, and leverage this knowledge to identify opportunities and threats.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the business development and marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources while delivering maximum impact.
Brand Management & Digital Marketing: Maintain and strengthen the company's brand identity working with the CMO, ensuring consistency in messaging, visuals, and tone across all channels. Oversee with the CMO the development of a robust online presence, including website management, social media marketing, email campaigns, and SEO/SEM strategies.
Content Creation: Create strategies and work with the CMO to create engaging and informative content, including articles, blog posts, case studies, and visuals, to showcase our expertise and engage our target audience.
Public Relations: Build and maintain relationships with industry influencers, media outlets, and trade associations to increase our firm's exposure and thought leadership. Manage and lead outside PR Team.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in business development or marketing leadership roles, particularly within the interior design or hospitality industry.
- Deep and proven relationships with the market sectors, especially hospitality design industry.
- Strong abilities to identify business opportunities and strategic opportunities for the company.
- Strong business development skills with strategic thinking and execution abilities.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, content creation, and social media strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to lead and inspire a high-performing marketing team.
