Business Development Representative
Sector Focus: Luxury Contract Hospitality
Based in New York City
**Remote working style – ability to travel to showrooms, multi-line reps, clients, shows, etc.**

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our client’s team and play a key role in expanding their presence in the luxury contract hospitality sector. You will leverage your business development, client management, and sales expertise to develop current relationships with clients and expand to new businesses in the contract hospitality market. The Business Development Representative will strategically locate new business, develop relationships, and build a lasting partnership. The Business Development Representative will grow the reputation, industry penetration, and product for the company, continuing their already successful relationships as the brand continues to be a go to for the design industry.

3 Key Role Responsibilities
  • Continuous development of current accounts
  • Target new accounts with an acquisition plan
  • Train, immerse, and be the brand expert on product lines and brand position in the market
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of outside sales/business development experience.
  • A demonstrated track record of success in business development, particularly within the luxury contract hospitality market.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and CRM Software (Salesforce, a plus).
  • Network, relationships, or memberships in NEWH, IIDA, ASID, AIA, and IDS.
  • Experience in initiating, cultivating, and sustaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships with the A&D community.
  • Knowledge and experience of liaising with interior designers, architects, specifiers, purchasing agents and other design-based groups to deliver commercial and contract hospitality projects.
  • Strong track record in generating consistent sales revenue and the ability to exceed sales targets.
  • Impeccable professionalism in all interactions with clients and co-workers.
  • An ability to act as an ambassador for the company, continually exceeding client expectations of our products and customer service.
  • An ability to identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, relationship building and a drive for results.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to clients, events, conferences, etc. when needed.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual Salary + Commissions + Bonus Potential + Benefits Package
  • Paid Time Off: Two weeks paid vacation per year, four personal days, five sick days, holiday closings of approximately 12 days
  • Health Insurance: Employee contribution of $50 per month, remainder covered by the company, with an option to upgrade to a platinum plan for an additional contribution. Spouse/Dependents/Family coverage available, premium paid by the employee on a pretax basis
  • Dental & Vision: Optional coverage, 100% of the premium paid by employee on a pretax basis
  • Supplemental Insurance: Optional coverage by AFLAC, 100% of premium paid by employees on a pretax basis
  • Life/ADD: 100% of premiums paid by the company. Short Term Disability, paid by the company. Life insurance equal to salary, capped at $100K, paid by the company. Long term disability, paid by the company
  • 401-K: Company matches 100% of employee contribution, up to 4% of salary
  • Expenses/Reimbursements – (travel, meals and entertainment for clients)
