Business Development Representative-Tile Specialist

This opportunity is based in New York City with the ability to travel the market.
This is an exciting role for a self-starter, go-getting Business Development Representative-Tile Specialist based in the New York City area.
We are seeking a self-motivated, tile-savvy Business Development Representative to grow our presence in the greater NYC market. This position focuses on driving specification and sales of commercial tile products through strong relationships with architecture and design firms, end-users, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote commercial tile product offerings to A&D firms, commercial developers, and facility managers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial, K-12, higher education, and healthcare sectors.
- Manage the sales cycle from product introduction and sampling to specification and installation support.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with architects, designers, tile contractors, and general contractors.
- Provide expert consultation on tile aesthetics, performance, and installation requirements.
- Conduct regular in-person client meetings and tile-focused presentations throughout Manhattan and surrounding boroughs.
- Collaborate with internal teams for efficient order processing, project coordination, and post-sale support.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of business development or outside sales experience in tile, flooring, or surfacing materials.
- Proven success working with A&D professionals and commercial project teams in NYC.
- Strong knowledge of tile materials, formats, technical specs, and installation practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and territory management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting tools.
- Highly self-driven, goal-oriented, and collaborative.
