This opportunity as a Construction Contract Administrator allows you to make an impact with a team of diverse, energetic, and talented professionals delivering projects that enrich the community through design excellence and expertise. The Construction Contract Administrator is a talented individual who possesses the ability to administer multiple projects concurrently and travel to projects sites throughout the Carolinas, when needed. You will play an integral role in client satisfaction, design quality and profitability of all projects undertaken that contribute to the firm’s strategic priorities to deliver design excellence. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in construction, architecture or equivalent field of study
- 6-10 years of experience in the architecture and design industry; or relevant work experience on architectural design projects
- Understand design, document production and procurement processes
- Understanding of relevant codes such as state building codes, ANSI 117.1, BOMA
- Understanding of AIA Documents, i.e., ASI, PR, CCD, CO, Pay App, Substantial Completion, etc.
- Understanding of sustainability principles
- Proficiency in Office 365, Revit & Newforma are a bonus
- Familiarity with construction industry project management software is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong team ethic
- Ability to interact professionally with project team members, office leadership, clients, and contractors
- Develop partnerships with each Office Leader and Practice Leaders as well as subject-matter experts across the firm to improve product and participate in research
- Develop relationships in the sector that contribute to business development
- Approach each opportunity with energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to excel
- Ability to direct and motivate work efforts of others and handle stressful situations
- Ability to self-manage multiple project assignments concurrently from start to finish with oversight.
- Serve as a liaison to assist and advise the Office Leader and Operations and Finance Manager on staffing, business development, and document quality
- Remain current in industry knowledge, highly attuned to changes and trends, developing relationships, and serving as a resource to local, state, and national organizations.
- Build strong relationships within the firm, with our clients and in our communities.
- Travel as necessary
