Financial Controller - Interior Design Firm | Denver, CO
Are you a seasoned financial leader ready to take ownership of a company’s financial health and operational efficiency?
We’re seeking a Financial Controller to serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and be a key member of the leadership team for our client. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the Accounting & Finance and Purchasing/VM departments, ensuring financial accuracy, strong internal controls, and strategic decision-making that fuels company growth.
This is more than just managing numbers—you’ll direct company-wide financial strategy, lead budgeting and forecasting, oversee contracts and compliance, and guide high-volume purchasing for complex residential and commercial projects. Qualifications
- BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- 7-10 + years in high-level accounting positions
- Accounting experience in the architecture and design industry
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate among a wide variety of audiences
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be comfortable working in groups and leading cross-functional teams towards a common goal
- Travel as necessary
