We seek a General Manager to oversee our client's premier showroom, a leading source of modern furniture in the market. As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence. You will lead a talented team of designers, ensuring the customers receive unparalleled service from purchase through to delivery. Your strategic vision and leadership will drive the showroom’s profitability and sales volume, establishing the company as the go-to destination for modern furniture.

Goals and Objectives

  • Achieve Profitability: Meet and exceed the budgeted financial goals.

  • Exceed Sales Targets: Drive sales volume beyond established goals.

  • Foster Customer Satisfaction: Cultivate a motivated team dedicated to delivering total customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision: Oversee all retail store employees, focusing on sales and order closures.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on individual sales performance against goals.

  • Sales Leadership: Lead all sales activities, addressing any issues related to store performance.

  • Policy Execution: Ensure all managerial actions comply with company policies and applicable laws.

  • Showroom Standards: Maintain showroom appearance, cleanliness, and accurate pricing.

  • Liaison Role: Act as the bridge between various departments to resolve daily operational issues.

  • Service Management: Proactively manage service issues with service personnel.

  • Client Strategies: Develop strategies for handling challenging clients and situations.

  • Customer Relations: Address customer complaints and returned merchandise to foster good public relations.

  • Staff Management: Handle recruiting, training, performance appraisals, and employee relations.

  • Ongoing Training: Provide continuous training to enhance team skills and customer satisfaction.

  • Special Projects: Participate in committees and special projects as needed.

  • Corporate Coordination: Align with corporate and senior management to address showroom needs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

  • Minimum of 5 years of retail management experience in home furnishings.

  • Proven leadership and motivational skills.

  • Budget management experience highly preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.

  • Knowledge of POS systems preferred

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with all management levels and staff.

  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.
