We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Interior Design Technician/Drafter to join our client’s team. This position is ideal for someone with a commercial interior design background who is looking to shift into technical documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up project files in AutoCAD, producing and managing construction drawings, and ensuring accurate and timely drawing revisions.

Responsibilities

• Set up project files in AutoCAD based on company standards.
• Produce and manage construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and sections/details for multi-family amenities.
• Oversee drawing revisions and ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with designers to develop concepts into detailed drawings.
• Utilize examples and company standards to produce drawings for multi-family commercial projects.
• Ensure understanding and compliance with ADA requirements, codes, and fair housing standards.

• Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• 1-3 years of AutoCAD drafting experience.
• Experience working in Revit is a plus and not required
• Experience with the Interior Design Process
• Strong knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD, including but not limited to XREFs, layers, blocks, hatches
• High attention to detail
• Understanding of millwork construction
• Ability to utilize examples and company standards to produce drawings for Multi-family Commercial projects
• Understanding of ADA requirements, code, and fair housing.
• Ability to communicate with designers to develop concepts into detailed drawings.
