Interior Design Project Lead | Denver, CO
Hybrid Working Style: 3 days in office/2 days remotely

The Project Lead is responsible for overseeing the design process from start to finish, working closely with clients, architects, contractors, and manage internal design team to ensure high-quality and timely project delivery. The Project Lead works to ensure the drawings and designs are completed on time and adhere to the established specifications and standards. This position may prepare project schedules, bids, or proposals and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This is a key leadership role within our firm that requires a strong mix of creativity, technical expertise, and project management skills.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for the management of Designers and multiple design projects
- Responsible for the execution of all design concepts, design development, and construction documentation, working directly with the Design Directors
- Meet with Design Director weekly to review project status
- Assist in developing conceptual and design development presentations for builders/developers
- Meet with product representatives to establish accounts with new product lines
- Assist Design Director and Chief Design Officer with design selection meetings and denoting all materials/drawings
- Responsible for the communication of redlines and final drawing comments with Designers
- Responsible for quick response and problem solving to customer service issues from builders and industry partners
- Direct Designers with regards to all aspects of project tasks to complete the different phases of each project, including schematic design, design development, and construction documentation
- Select all finishes, fabrics, furniture, accessories, lighting, etc. for design projects and ensure that project budgets are met
- Work with Design Director in all aspects of project design as necessary
- Schedule and attend construction site walks at significant phases of design with Design Director
- Review and complete all construction administration documentation as required.
- Attend and lead FF&E installations for all design projects
- Coordinate project subcontractors as required, including but not limited to: wallcovering installer, window treatment work room, and specialty painters.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Required Qualifications
- BS in Fine Arts, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture or Equivalent
- 7+ years’ experience, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Highly proficient in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suites, and Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate among a wide variety of audiences
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, construction processes, and industry standards
- Strong leadership and project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be comfortable working in groups and participating in cross-functional teams towards a common goal
- Knowledge of current design trends, technologies, and materials
- Travel as necessary
