Junior Interior Designer
Job Description
-
Work in tandem with the Principal and Lead Designer to develop plans and interior design conceptsÂ
-
Work with the Principal to source and select finishes, fixtures, lighting, hardware & accessories.

Act as liaison with clients, contractors, and vendors regarding the technical aspects of project
-
Coordinate and produce construction and design documents.
-
Review and detail shop drawings for construction plans.
-
Manage and review schedules, construction details, and project deliverables.

Ensures regular reviews at key design stages with Principal Designer
-
Travels to the job site, design center, and showrooms as needed.

Prepare presentation materials.

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design / Architecture
-
3-5 years of experience in a residential design setting
-
Solid competency in the technical aspects of construction
-
Strong experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and InDesign
-
Knowledge of design process - FF&E, specifications, finish, and material selections
-
Knowledge of local and online showrooms, resources, and industry trends
-
Comfortable and confident communicating with vendors, subcontractors, and clients
-
Contribute to a small studio environment with flexibility, problem-solving, and good judgment.Â

Strong attention to detail and quality control, with capacity to work independently and multitask.Â

Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based file systemsÂ

Must have a valid MA driver’s license
