Kitchen Designer | Luxury Kitchen & Bath Showroom | Falmouth,  MA

The Design Consultant position offers an opportunity to enhance your experience in design, customer service, & sales. Our client’s showrooms offer their customers more than the average kitchen & bath showroom experience. They create an elevated experience from the moment a client walks in the door, whether they are picking out a bathroom faucet or getting a  full kitchen design.  
 
Responsibilities
  • Warmly greet and welcome all customers entering the showroom.  
  • Qualify customers to efficiently identify how company can meet their needs.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all products offered
  • Accurately enter all showroom bids and sales using Solar Eclipse.  
  • Present bids/quotes/designs/plans/specifications/information to clients in a timely  manner.  
  • Maintain communication with customers as needed & requested. Return all calls, emails,  etc. promptly, within working hours.  
  • Utilize the sales tools in Solar Eclipse, including bid follow-up, calling queues, and trouble queues to manage all sales and potential sales.  
  • Provide layouts/elevations, specifications, mood boards, and installation instructions as  needed.  
  • Follow the customer qualification, presentation, and closing methods of the company.   
  • Track order status using the purchasing process in Eclipse and using vendor partner  websites where applicable.  
  • Follow the Gallery Purchasing Guide to ensure the proper product procurement methods  are used. 
  • Procure and ship products as needed.  
  • Clearly explain and sell all available delivery services based on the customer’s needs.   
  • Continuously meet and exceed sales goals as outlined for the individual consultant.   Pursue new trade contacts & leads to create new business. 
  • Attend all required training. Occasional out-of-state travel opportunities will be offered.   
  • Assist customers in designing their kitchen and/or other-room cabinetry layouts   
  • Travel to job site to collect field measurements. Double measure to ensure accuracy.  
  • Communicate with contractor re: site conditions, expected changes, etc.  
  • Create designs and drawings in a timely manner using 2020 and/or Chief Architect.  Include plan view, elevations, perspectives, detailed drawings, and detailed notes. Also  include all information pertaining to specific selections (ie, cabinet construction details,  finish, door style, accessories, & embellishments)  
  • Price cabinetry using vendor portals for accuracy.  
  • Create bids in Eclipse to reflect pricing in drawings  
  • Execute kitchen contracts & all applicable signoffs  
  • Communicate design & installation approach & details with the installer & homeowner.   
  • Maintain digital notes & files and physical binder for each job. 
  • Provide guidance & support during installation, including site visits if necessary  
  • Adhere to the posted showroom schedule.  
  • Attend events as requested. Both in-house and off-site.  
  • Assist with in-house event execution as requested.  
  • Maintain showroom samples and literature.  
  • Prepare the showroom for opening and closing.  
 
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree, Interior Design or related a plus
  • 3+ years of kitchen and bath design experience
  • AKBD or CKD certification a plus
  • Experience in home décor & renovation sales (ie, kitchen & bath, furniture, surfaces, lighting, décor).  
  • Strong command level of cutting-edge technology – various apps, all aspects of virtual meetings,  document sharing, CRM, and multi-platform integration.  
  • Microsoft Office 365 (All aspects of Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel)   
  • 2020 Design
  • Interior or CAD-based design software experience a plus. (2020, Chief Architect, SketchUp, CAD, Revit).  
  • Experience with Adobe products a plus.  
  • Must be able to work 1 weekend day and 2 weekday evenings
