Sales Associate – Embroidered Fabrics & Textiles Specialist | New York
This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional to join a high-end furniture and textile company that cares about its employees and clients.
As the Sales Associate, you will focus on the fabrics and textiles lines for the company and work with clients, trade reps, designers, and more to provide an excellent customer experience. This opportunity is based in the luxury showroom open Monday – Friday. Bring your sales and customer service expertise to an established brand to ensure expectational attention is given to all those visiting the showroom and engaging the brand.
In this role, you will…
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products and processes
- Create lasting relationships with clients, team members, vendors, and design industry members
- Fulfill all furnishings and textiles samples requests from design trade/showroom visitors
- Assists the team with stock checks and answering questions
- Manage the returns, in addition to conducting a monthly sample stock take
- Set up new trade accounts and update the trackers
- Maintain showroom appearance for client meetings and presentations
- Share and present company offerings to clients
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of fabric/textiles sales, home furnishings sales, client support services, customer service, showroom sales, and/or design sales experience
- Previous client-facing/client support experience
- Ability to identify sales opportunities
- Knowledge of Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook required
- Excellent client management and client communication skills
- Ability to listen, engage, and exceed clients' needs
- Able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with clients, vendors, and colleagues
- Punctual, meticulous, and driven
- Positive customer service attitude with problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and efficient multitasker
- Excels in a fast-paced environment
