The Senior Interior Designer role seeks an independent and self-motivated professional, preferably with NCIDQ certification, who can work autonomously and is experienced in managing complete projects from start to finish. The Senior Interior Designer’s primary responsibilities will include designing, creating technical drawings, and engaging with clients, necessitating a presentable and client-friendly demeanor. This individual should thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with architects and external consultants. This Senior Interior Designer role encourages innovation, with a preference for candidates unafraid to introduce new ideas and processes. Bachelor/master’s degree from an accredited interior design/Architecture program.
6+ years direct industry experience; Corporate or Senior Living interior design experience.
Interior Design Licensure NCIDQ, CCIDC, etc. (Preferred)
Expertise in one or more interior design fields such as commercial interior design, industrial design, green/sustainability, or ergonomic design.
Software proficiency in AutoCAD and/or REVIT, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and Specs sources or similar FF&E spec writing software.
Advanced understanding of building codes, including national and state local codes.
In depth knowledge of various product types, code requirements, and interior design practices and how to apply, detail, and specify them.
Ability to work on multiple projects and maintain effective communication and quality control.
Strong leadership skills demonstrated by the ability and willingness to delegate responsibilities, work with others at varying levels, and coach them to develop their capabilities.
Accurate and detail oriented.
