Supply Manager for the Americas - Furniture | Contract Role

Based in the United States - Work Remotely with the ability to travel to suppliers

Contract Role: 
  • Contract Length: 3 - 6 months starting
  • Weekly Working Hours: 40 hours
  • Working Style: Working remotely in the United States with travel

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of furniture supply chains across America?

We are seeking a world-class Supply Manager to join our client's dynamic and growing team in the USA. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to a global product strategy, ensuring our supply base aligns with our commitment to quality, ethics, and environmental sustainability. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Development Plan: Create and implement a supplier development plan that aligns with our long-term range plan.
  • Supplier Identification: Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers that meet our stringent quality, ethical, and environmental standards.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate professional and long-term relationships with suppliers, developing a deep understanding of their capabilities to ensure they meet current and future business needs.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and contribute to projects within the US market, driving strategic initiatives.
  • Production Optimization: Collaborate with suppliers to optimize production processes, achieving continuous improvement and enhanced profitability.
  • Quality Compliance: Work closely with the Quality Compliance team to manage supplier due diligence and meet product quality expectations.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: 5+ years of furniture industry experience. Understanding of working with suppliers and building that relationship. 
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of upholstery furniture manufacturing, logistics, and related cost drivers.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with strong drive and energy.
  • Strategic and Operational Excellence: Strong business acumen with the capability to operate strategically while maintaining daily operational excellence.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skills in managing and influencing stakeholders.
  • Decision-Making: Strong decision-making abilities, with a high sense of accountability and initiative.
  • Big Picture Thinking: Capacity to see the broader picture and effectively prioritize competing considerations.
  • Attention to Detail: High-level attention to detail is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
