Territory Sales Account Executive
Location: Traverse City, MI

They are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Territory Sales Account Executive to grow and nurture business throughout the Traverse City, MI market.

About the Role: As the Territory Sales Account Executive, you will lead the growth and development of a designated customer base and territory, collaborating closely with regional and corporate sales teams to maximize revenue, expand market share, and strengthen brand presence. You will take ownership of client relationships, identify new business opportunities, educate customers on product solutions, and ensure your territory thrives.
What You’ll Do
- Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients to drive market growth.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue goals.
- Execute effective sales strategies and techniques tailored to key customer targets.
- Deliver high-impact product presentations that educate and influence buying decisions.
- Continually expand product knowledge by engaging with internal teams and subject matter experts.
- Participate in required sales and training meetings.
- Identify competitive threats promptly and communicate key market insights to leadership.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Maintain accurate reports, call notes, and job tracking through customer management systems.
- Represent the brand through participation in key trade associations (e.g., HBA, NKBA, IIDA, ASID), including occasional after-hours commitments.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support territory and team success.
Qualifications
- Â 2+ years of experience in sales, including: minimum 2 years of outside B2B sales with a strong record of success; at least 1 year in a customer-facing business-to-business role.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience in effective sales practices and methods.
- A self-starting, highly motivated personality with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of sales growth, strong follow-up habits, and closing ability.
- A fearless approach to sourcing and winning new business.
- Strong customer service instincts and timely responsiveness to inquiries.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record that meets company driving qualifications.
- Adequate, dependable personal transportation for daily client visits, with the ability to transport product samples as needed.
- Professional appearance and polished business attire.
- Ability to drive throughout the workday and travel extensively within the territory.
- Ability to travel regionally up to 75% of the time -Â occasional overnight travel as needed.Â
