Vice President (VP) of Business Development – Commercial, Multi-Family
Remote working – based in the United States (ideally SE of the US)
The Vice President of Business Development - Commercial Multi-Family is responsible for driving the sales, growth, and expansion of the firm’s multi-family portfolio. This position is pivotal in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, creating and executing business development strategies that enhance the company’s market presence in the commercial real estate multi-family sector. The VP of BD Commercial Multi-Family will work closely with the executive leadership, marketing, and design teams to ensure alignment with business goals and revenue targets.Â

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, interior design, or a related field is required. An advanced degree or certifications in sales, business development, or interior design is a plus.
- 7-10 + years in high level sales position
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic sales planning, forecasting, and achieving sales goals
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work in fast paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the interior design industry, particularly within the commercial multi-family real estate sector. Knowledge of trends, design aesthetics, and multi-family development processes is essential.
- Sales Leadership: Proven track record of leading sales teams, managing relationships, and driving revenue growth, preferably in an interior design or construction-related field.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with developers, architects, contractors, and other industry professionals.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate high-value contracts and present design solutions effectively.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of project budgeting and the ability to assess and communicate financial implications of design proposals.
- Project Management Experience: Familiarity with the multi-family development process and the ability to work collaboratively with design and operations teams to ensure project success.
