Vice President of Interior Designer Relations

We’re seeking an exceptional Vice President of Interior Designer Relations to shape the future of our client engagement strategy and elevate our presence in the high-end design market.

In this role, you’ll spearhead strategic initiatives to strengthen relationships with interior designers and decorators, act as a trusted advisor to key clients, and lead a dynamic team dedicated to expanding our influence in the industry. Your expertise in business development, client relationship management, and market trend analysis will be pivotal in aligning our operations with the evolving needs of the design community.

With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and excellence, you’ll champion targeted marketing campaigns, represent our brand at industry events, and ensure seamless communication between designers and our operational teams. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute strategies to strengthen relationships with interior designers & Interior decorators.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the interior design community.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align departmental goals with the overall company strategy.
Client Relationship Management:
  •  
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with interior designers and design firms.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key interior design clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
Business Development:
  •  
  • Lead initiatives to expand the company's presence within the interior design market.
  • Identify trends and opportunities within the industry to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Team Management:
  •  
  • Oversee a team overtime to be responsible for managing interior designer relationships, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Marketing & Promotion:
  •  
  • Collaborate with marketing agency to create targeted campaigns aimed towards interior designers.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
Product & Service Feedback:
  •  
  • Act as a liaison between interior designers and the operational team, ensuring that feedback is effectively communicated and integrated into service offerings.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to keep the company’s offerings competitive.
Financial Oversight:
  •  
  • Manage budgets related to interior designer relations activities/department.
  • Ensure that business development efforts are cost-effective and generate a positive ROI.
Negotiation & Contracts:
  •  
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with design firms and individual designers with the executive team, when needed.
  • Ensure that all contracts meet company standards and legal requirements.
Training & Education:
  •  
  • Organize strategies to Market Presidents for certain interior designers wants and needs. Inform interior designers on new products, services, and technologies offered by the company.
  • Keep the team updated on industry trends and best practices.
Reporting & Analysis:
  •  
  • Provide clear communications on designer relationships, business development efforts, and market trends to senior management.
  • Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and strategy adjustments

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • 10 years of experience in client relations, business development, or sales focused in architecture and interior design industry
  • Experience with client relationship management and creating long-term relationships with clients
  • Strong business development skills, identifying new opportunities
  • Excellent negotiation skills and execution
  • Ability to coach others and motivate to perform effectively
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Character traits: Strong Work Ethic, Professional, Self-motivated, Hungry for success, Trustworthy, and Honest
